Our Mission

CUE’s mission is to bridge the gap between professional emergency medicine and everyday bystander capability through neuroscience backed training and accessible public policy. Our goal is to discover what is behind the human psychological response that prevents bystanders from being capable. We work to understand the function of the amygdala and how it impacts the human response when a task is within reach and the necessary resources are provided.

Juliana M.

Based in New York City, Juliana is the founder of CUE. CUE was created from her interest in how people respond cognitively under stress, especially as a piano performer of fourteen years and dancer. These experiences motivate her to explore strategies that help individuals think clearly and act effectively in high-pressure situations.

Riley R.

Riley is the co-founder of CUE. She co-founded the organization alongside Juliana out of a strong interest in psychology and a desire to better understand how personal experiences influence responses in high-pressure situations. Through her involvement in academics, she is committed to exploring strategies that promote clarity, confidence, and effective action during emergencies.
